Kristin Little Counseling Seattle

Adult and Child Therapy Rates
(Please note I currently do not bill insurance directly at my Seattle office)
While I am paneled as a preferred provider for most major insurances at The Evergreen Clinic in Kirkland, I have chosen to not work directly with insurance in my Seattle practice and Instead reduce my rates to make therapy services more accessible to clients paying out of pocket.
Many insurance plans do cover out of network providers, usually at a lower reimbursement rate. If you have questions, please call your insurance company to ask about your Out-of-Network ("OON") Outpatient Mental Health Benefits. I will provide all clients who wish to use their OON benefits with an insurance-ready document (aka "Superbill") that you may submit for reimbursement per your policy.
Here is a list of questions you can ask your insurance provider:*
What are my “Out-of-Network, Out-Patient, Mental Health Benefits” when seeing a Licensed Mental Health Counselor?
Do I need a referral from my Primary Care Provider (PCP) to see a Licensed Mental Health Counselor?
Do I have a deductible, coinsurance, or co-payment?
Have I met my deductible this year? When does my deductible restart?
Does Pre-Certification apply? (Does the insurance company have to approve the treatment prior to starting therapy?
*If you'd like assistance, please give me a call, I would be happy to call your insurance to inquire about your benefits and what they would cover for my services
Individual therapy services: $100 for 1 hour session
Initial intake sessions $150 for extended 75 min session
Child Specialist and Coparent Coaching Rates
Child Specialist Services and Coparent Coaching are not considered to be for medical treatment of mental health and is therefore not covered by and cannot be billed to insurance. In addition the confidentiality needed for safe divorce and coparenting work is challenged by the practices and legal/ethical laws that apply to counseling services. Structuring the work using the coaching/mediation contracts protects all members from information and documentation being used in a way that is contrary to the purpose of reducing conflict, avoiding adversarial legal processes that may harm children and families.
Fees for services are self-pay and will be billed directly to clients the day of service (see "Payment" heading below). My billing software forces a choice of one party responsible for billing. I can work with you to find agreeable work-around solutions to share financial responsibility or you may make arrangements to reimburse between yourselves. I understand how finances can effect families, especially during stressful times of change and challenge. I strive to be transparent and conservative with fees and I welcome clients to discuss any concerns or questions they may have about fees or billings.
$180 per hour for in-person meetings and additional work agreed upon such as write up of meeting notes, filling out forms or worksheets, communication with other professionals and persons.
A fee for necessary travel will be charged in 15 minute increments at the 180 per hour rate
When you make a therapy or coaching appointment, the time is specifically reserved for you. In the event that you need to cancel an appointment or reschedule, please notify me as early in advance as possible (at least 24 hours) so I may have the ability to fill the scheduled time. If you do not give at least 24 hours notice you will be billed the session fee.
Payment is made on the day of service with the credit card on file set up in your online portal. You will have access to all invoices and payments with your online portal and can change your credit card on file or request information regarding billing, payments or request billing documents at any time directly from Kristin Little.
