Adult and Child Therapy Rates
(Note my work with children, parents and families related to divorce, is done under coaching services only.)

I am currently a preferred provider with Regence, First Choice Health Network and Premera. For my previous self-pay clients, know I will continue to honor your $100 self pay fee or if you prefer will set your account up to bill your insurance at the rates listed below. I will also extend a sliding scale (down to $100) for self-pay therapy clients who do not have insurance coverage. Please let me know if you wish to be considered for the self-pay sliding scale rate via email to discuss.

My rates for insurance billing are as follows:

  • $160 for initial intake session (55 minute hour which includes additional time for me to assess and document diagnosis and consider your treatment plan)

  • $130 for follow up therapy sessions (55 minute hour)

  • $130 for Family Therapy (55 minute hour, this fee is usually reserved for complex work with family members when needed and appropriate.

If I am not on your insurance as a preferred provider, know that many insurance plans do cover out of network providers, usually at a lower reimbursement rate. If you have questions, please call your insurance company to ask about your Out-of-Network ("OON") Mental Health Benefits. I currently provide all clients who wish to use their OON benefits with an insurance-ready document (aka "Superbill")  that you may submit for reimbursement per your policy.

Here is a list of questions you can ask your insurance provide regarding OON benefits:

  1. What are my “Out-of-Network, Out-Patient, Mental Health Benefits” when seeing a Licensed Mental Health Counselor?

  2. Do I need a referral from my Primary Care Provider (PCP) to see a Licensed Mental Health Counselor?

  3. Do I have a deductible, coinsurance, or co-payment?

  4. Have I met my deductible this year? When does my deductible restart?

  5. Does Pre-Certification apply? (Does the insurance company have to approve the treatment prior to starting therapy?

Divorce & Coparent Child Specialist Coaching Rates
(Note: Child Specialist Services are coaching and different from mental health treatment. They are not to treat a mental health/medical condition and not covered by or billed to insurance.)

Coaching is a different process than therapy and is for the purpose of offering consultation support for your divorce or mediation process. Coaching maintains a neutral approach and confidentiality necessary for safely working with parents in a legal or potential legal process which are not possible to maintain in a therapy process, where an identified client and a mental health diagnosis is needed for insurance coverage. Structuring the work using the coaching/mediation contracts protects all members from information and documentation being used in a way that is contrary to the purpose of reducing conflict, avoiding adversarial legal processes that may harm children and families.

Fees for services are self-pay and will be billed directly to clients the day of service (see "Payment" heading below).  My billing software forces a choice of one party responsible for billing. I can work with you to find agreeable work-around solutions to share financial responsibility or you may make arrangements to reimburse between yourselves. I understand how finances can effect families, especially during stressful times of change and challenge. I strive to be transparent and conservative with fees and I welcome clients to discuss any concerns or questions they may have about fees or billings.

  • $180 per hour for in-person meetings and additional work agreed upon such as write up of meeting notes, filling out forms or worksheets, communication with other professionals and persons.

  • A fee for necessary travel will be charged in 15 minute increments at the 180 per hour rate
